    Episode 1 - February 6, 2026

1 machine, 3 physics, 1 Software: MotorCAD the solution for your problems

    • Presented by: Csaba Szita, Application Engineer, Simtec
    • Date & Time: Friday, February 6, 2026 - 14:00 CET

Developing electrical machines comes with a wide range of complex challenges: electromagnetic performance, thermal management, mechanical integrity, and the interaction between all these domains. In this episode, Csaba Szita demonstrates how Ansys MotorCAD provides a comprehensive yet user-friendly approach to designing and optimizing electric machines by integrating multiple physics within a single simulation environment.

Through practical insights and a simulation-driven perspective, attendees will gain a fresh viewpoint on electric motor development and learn how MotorCAD’s core capabilities can accelerate design cycles, reduce risk, and support better engineering decisions from the earliest development stages.

    Episode 2 - February 13, 2026

Mastering Aero-Optics: High-Fidelity Simulation for Airborne Optical Systems

    • Presented by: Paschalis Dompoudis, Application Engineer, Simtec
    • Date & Time: Friday, February 13, 2026 - 14:00 CET

Airborne optical systems operating in high-speed flight conditions often suffer performance degradation due to aero-optical effects. Turbulent flow fields and thermal gradients can introduce wavefront distortions that directly impact sensor accuracy and reliability. Understanding and predicting these effects is critical for designing robust airborne optical systems.

In this episode, Paschalis Dompoudis showcases how Ansys Optics can be combined with CFD data to perform high-fidelity aero-optical simulations. Attendees will explore practical workflows for modeling wavefront distortions and learn how to virtually assess aero-optical performance. By bridging the gap between aerodynamics and optical design, engineers can optimize sensor performance while significantly reducing the risks, costs, and uncertainties associated with physical flight testing.

    Episode 3 - February 20, 2026

Shape optimization using the adjoint solver of Fluent

    • Presented by: Morteza Monfaredi, Application Engineer, Simtec
    • Date & Time: Friday, February 20, 2026 - 14:00 CET

Improving aerodynamic or fluid performance often requires multiple design iterations, and identifying which geometric features have the greatest impact can be challenging. Traditional trial-and-error approaches can slow down the design process and increase computational cost.

In this episode, Morteza Monfaredi introduces the adjoint solver in Ansys Fluent and demonstrates how it enables efficient, simulation-driven shape optimization. Attendees will learn how adjoint analyses generate sensitivity fields that reveal where geometry changes will most effectively reduce drag, pressure loss, or other key performance metrics. By using adjoint gradients to guide design updates, engineers can achieve better-performing designs with significantly fewer simulations and faster development cycles.

    Episode 4 - February 27, 2026

Advanced Calibration Strategies for Reliable Simulation Models

    • Presented by: Olia Dangeli, Application Engineer, Simtec
    • Date & Time: Friday, February 27, 2026 - 14:00 CET

Accurate simulation results depend heavily on well-calibrated material models, yet extracting reliable material parameters from experimental data can be complex—especially when nonlinear material behavior is involved. Manual calibration approaches are often time-consuming and can introduce uncertainty.

In this episode, Olia Dangeli explores advanced calibration strategies and demonstrates how Ansys MCalibration simplifies the workflow through semi-automated parameter identification and optimization. Attendees will learn how to efficiently convert experimental data into simulation-ready material models, improving simulation accuracy and confidence while reducing calibration time and effort.
